James and Betty raised five daughters on their ranch in Loomis, California. Today James is enjoying his retirement with as many rounds of golf he can fit in. He is an active member of the United Methodist Church of Loomis, of which his father was a founding member. The church holds a Japanese food bazaar annually, celebrating its Japanese roots.
